How To: Make a Maple Leaf Wreath

01_09.22.09_FallWreath.jpgBecause today is the first day of Fall and many trees are already changing color, at least in some parts of the country, we wanted to share with you this great DIY project on how to make a maple leaf wreath.

This simple DIY involves a styrofoam wreath ring, hot glue, and previously treated maple leaves to preserve their beautiful colors. To see more photos and read detailed instructions on how to make the wreath visit Chez Larsson.

Depending on where you live you might want to choose a different type of leaf. The wreath would also look beautiful with dried flowers.

I love this idea, but so many of us live in apartment buildings. Is it cool or uncool to hang a wreath on your apartment door? Maybe using the leaf idea is weird since it's not technically outside? I don't know....

It is totally cool to hang a wreath on your apartment door. It always puts a smile on my face when I going down the stairs and I see someone has put a wreath on their door, it's a fun reminder that the season has changed :)

Ooh, I would love to try that with ginkgo leaves. There are several trees on my block and I love it when the leaves start turning yellow.
