Green doesn't always have to mean painful sacrifice, right? Back in August we shared a couple of tips for greening your laundry routine. Prime among those suggestions was to abandon the dryer altogether and switch to line drying, for even half the year. Some of you were already doing this, others patronized laundromats and balked (understandably) at the idea of lugging home wet clothes, and still others didn’t appreciate the hefty price tag on a bells-and-whistles drying rack.

Where can I get that laundry basket?

that's a great idea about drying with dry towels
I'm into about my 6th week of drying most things on a line. I figured I'd give it a try just to see and it's working out great. Then if I need to toss something into the dryer it's so much less time overall. I didn't realize until I started line drying how few things I need _now_ and can wait for to dry.
Another thing is I never leave stuff in a heap in the dryer now, so items are far less wrinkled. I haven't seen an electric bill since I made the switch. I'm looking forward to seeing if there is a difference.

Great idea, but make sure not to throw light colored towels in with dark colored clothing. Two words: Lint City.

First time I've heard that idea. I'll definitely give it a try since we have nowhere to hang a clothesline!
