How To: Turn Old Books into Wall Folders
Gingerbread Snowflakes

90909wallfolders1.jpgBuying stuff to help us organize the stuff we already have always seems not only wasteful, but counterproductive. That's why we love re-use projects that aid in organization, like this nice hanging storage folder made from old books, created by Pam of the blog Gingerbread Snowflakes. Learn how she makes them after the jump...

Pam's method can be performed using tools and materials you probably already have; if you don't have old books lying around, Goodwill and other thrift stores are great resources for these. You'll remove the pages from the books with a utility knife, using Pam's detailed and illustrated instructions. If you want a clean look, you can glue a paper lining to the inside covers, then punch holes in the covers for your hanging strap and hinges.

Pam sews on buttons to give her hinges a nice finished look.

We love the simplicity and utility of this project, especially for use in the kitchen or home office. For complete, detailed instructions, visit Pam's blog, Gingerbread Snowflakes.
