Is this the same as Rakks? Seems a bit on the costly side.

I have their shelving. It is more reasonably priced than their competition, easy to install, and looks good from a distance. That price, however, comes with some problems: their wood is not smoothly finished (it is a bit rough and porous), and they for some inexplicable reason make it impossible to sink the installation screws flush with the wood shelving (so the screw heads stick into the storage space) forcing you to be careful about not gouging books, etc. on the screw heads when you put them on, or take them off, the shelves.
